The Japanese guy; Dancers made a transforming Dai-X; only a couple of inches in height, from a Yujin figure.
The figure articulates and breaks down into the three Dai-X fighters, each of which transforms and is to scale with one of the larger X-Bomber toys that was released in Japan around 1980.
This X-Bomber was modified to allow the Dai-X fighters to dock with it and is repainted from its original red to a more accurate brown.

In the photos below, the X-Bomber, Dai-X and F-Zero One face off against new Gelma ships and robots (which have an uncanny resemblance to the Zords from Power Rangers in Space).
Dai-X makes use of the sword from a larger-scale toy Dai-X.
