This forum is old, but here, I posted this on the lost media wikia in hopes that the other 24 episodes of "Interster" might be found: http://lostmedia.wikia.com/wiki....s_14-37

A touch of reality

I like your voice Andy, somehow it matches up with how I imagined it (actually I haven't thought about it that much...)Basically Vanessa said everything I have to. I hope your campaign succeeds as well. I didn't really expect to hear anything on "Star Fleet" when listening, really wouldn't be approp...

I now figured out how to emulate the audio on "Thalian Space Wars" in Adobe Audition using the Dynamics Processor 3.1 Expander. I think it emulated the unequal nature of the audio, where the voices sound louder than the music and it all sounds a bit muffled...

Remastering--Grain Removal

The closest thing I get when it comes to loss is on Barry Hercules' sponge hair, and that's only some slight smearing in some cases - I'm not so obsessive that it makes a difference to me because all in all it's barely something to bat an eye at.

Remastering--Grain Removal

(Serenity @ Mar. 04 2014,16:50)QUOTEThe issue of grain removal is a touchy subject and a lot of folks seem to be very sensitive about it. Personally, I don't like too much grain, but have nothing against it if used properly like in Band of Brothers. The anti-DNR folks usually bring up movies like Z...

Remastering--Grain Removal

(felice @ Mar. 02 2014,06:22)QUOTE16mm isn't necessarily bad quality; obviously 35mm is better, but Doctor Who's 16mm story Spearhead from Space looks pretty nice on blu-ray.I suppose that's true, but "Star Fleet" on the other hand -- it doesn't look horrible, but it's not up to its full potential....

Remastering--Grain Removal

(Serenity @ Feb. 28 2014,15:58)QUOTESuch a shame - What I wouldn't give for a pristine transfer. The sets and model work alone would look glorious in high definition, but then even at 576i, off a decent transfer would look very good. Certainly not knocking FF as they at least tried to remaster what...

Remastering--Grain Removal

(Serenity @ Feb. 27 2014,21:31)QUOTEWonder what Fabulous had to work with when they were trying to remaster the series for the DVDs. At best I imagine that they were using later generation copies of the original film.Definitely, the masters for the English version were put on 16mm film rather than ...

(Crash Override @ Feb. 06 2014,22:28)QUOTEDoes Dr Benn snuff it in Space Quest?  I can't seem to remember that happening. It came as a surprise when I saw the whole series much later.Yeah he does, Makara and Orion don't thoughAlso in "Space Wars", they leave us to assume Carter dies in the attack o...

(AndyThomas @ Feb. 04 2014,11:31)QUOTEOh absolutely, it used to be an overnight job trying to render them down to mpgs but I always tried to up-spec my system as far as I could back then to make them last.  It was the raw DV files that were the problem, absolutely massive back then.  Shame, because...
