Text - justified, or not?

Well, finally found a definitive answer and it is bl**dy typical of Microsoft. Apparently, if you have a table within a table, or a table within a DIV tag that's centrally aligned, in IE 6 the result is that the text in the table cells defaults to the center - not to the left. Just in IE 6 though - ...

Text - justified, or not?

I'm starting to narrow this issue down - it seems increasingly likely that IE 6's default for table cells is center aligned, not left aligned as it has been. So if the site's looking a little odd that's why - pages like the episode guide have gone doo-lally in 1024. I'll have to do a bit more tinker...

PC Game: Homeworld

Spec is, um, better than mine although probably not by much - although there is a sequel, Homeworld Cataclysm, and Homeworld 2 is due out this year so I would anticipate something nearer the 500MHZ sort of mark. Although from what I read on their forum, there are varying detail levels - so you could...

PC Game: Homeworld

Waiting on my new PC to be able to play this, but go and have a look at: http://www.b5mods.com/ to see what people are doing to adapt the in-game ships into ones from other series. Can you guess where I'm going with this?! Nigel, anyone? How difficult would it be? Might be a little pet project as an...

Text - justified, or not?

For some reason, now that work's upgraded to IE 6, the text in the left hand columns of SFXB is centred. Why this should be I don't know - by default it ought to be left aligned, and it used to be! At home, 5.5 displays it as left aligned, but 6 seems to do something else with it. Anyone else come a...

Interesting... what I'm certainly finding is that you need to stick with series these days to get full value from them. Fortunately I got into the habit with Babylon 5. As mentioned, Trek's reset button generally means that you can watch any given episode without needing to know what went on last we...

Splitting AVI files?

Ah, I'm with you now. I could be wrong, and I'm sure there's a way to get round it, but the way AVI files are encoded means you can't simply chop them in half and end up with 2 AVI files that play. MPEGs are different I think - if you notice, if you download one into mediaplayer you can start watchi...

Given the relatively small number of regions Star Fleet, at least, was shown in you do tend to find that people's memory of the show can be non-existent, more often than not. That said, I was doing a temping job a couple of years ago and someone there did remember the show quite well - but I suspect...

1st class DVD Compatible VCD's

Strangely enough, Star Fleet and Terrahawks are probably the only series that I hadn't noticed on eBay on VCD. Even series like Space Above and Beyond, far more recent, are available. The auctions tend to be very short and Buy It Nows as well for obvious reasons. There's one bloke who's selling Star...

Given that everyone reading this shares a certain common heritage this is probably not going to generate any surprises - but what shows does everyone follow these days? Being terrestrial only I'm following Buffy, Farscape, Smallville (for the time being), Roswell High (more interesting once you're i...
