Re: Feeling my age!

That sounds about right, thinking back I probably didn't have the equipment to try it until around late 2002 / 2003 and then they were put on the site directly. Ah, memories of finding an American VCR to pipe the NTSC US tapes out through a piece of kit to digitise them. It's funny, now the storage ...

Not quite, but almost...

I thought this was a Lego design idea somewhat reminiscent of our big red friend, and would probably appeal to others here - it's only a few supporter off getting more time to get more support so I thought I'd mention it in case anyone was feeling charitable!

Re: Stuff on Rinkya

So this reminds me of something. You know the darker areas on the hull of X-Bomber? They're very clearly brown in the above, but they look closer to dark grey in the show to my eyes? What do we think?

A couple of random finds

This model found me, there's so much stuff out there now the whole world's gone digital! Obviously you can translate as needed. http://www.taringa.net/comunidades/esculturas/7047422/Star-Fleet-X-Bomber.html Also, I haven't seen this cutaway version before, maybe from the Japanese remaster? Feeling my age!

I happened to glance at my YouTube stats recently and realised to my surprise that it's been over ten years since I put up some of my early videos, which as you might imagine were Star Fleet related. Ten years. Wow. I think they were up on the site earlier than that, though. I stuck them on YouTube ...

PS: You want one of these for the Moon Base base, lol: https://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Grey-Crater-Plate-Platform/dp/B01571SKOE I think they came out before I was little but there must be millions still floating around. :D Wow. Childhood flashback right between the eyes as soon as I saw that! Just like...

Re: Lego X-Bomber

The little chap looks pleased as punch! Mine's more into mini-planes at the moment, although we did once come up with a multi-pilot robot made up of... well... mini-planes! It has to be said with the likes of the X-Wing sets (which are epic) there are a lot of parts around for this sort of project t...

Re: XCOM game nostalgia - new video by me, unusually!

Thanks, that's useful feedback. It was pretty unplanned. When I first ran Minecraft there was an icon floating around on the new Asus ZenPad. It's an Asus app called Game Genie. It can boost game speed but it also captures video either to live stream or save locally. So when I came across Aliens v H...
