If You Could Save 3 Things from the 80s...

The Young Ones' episode Cash actually reminds me a bit of Thawks' 2 for the Price of 1: when Vyvyan = "pregnant", the other characters panic & declare the need to fetch hot water. At the end, Mike says "What do we have, a boy or a girl?" (2 for the Price of 1 was apparently considered dodgy in its d...

Thanks, Cyborg. And it's too bad Suki's life was cut so short; we suspect Napoleon had been knocked by a car, and he began to suffer from internal injury a few days later. (My neighbour remarked that he'd noticed "Nap" was becoming slower in getting out of the way of cars.)Maybe Napoleon & Suki are ...

If You Could Save 3 Things from the 80s...

If I had to save just 1 film/show from the 80s, I'd probably be influenced by what tune I had on the brain at the time of being asked: if I was listening to Duran Duran's Is There Something I Should Know? then I'd pick Starfleet; anything from 1984-85 (especially the fabulous Living on Video by Tran...

A good subheading for this section (or for another '80s nostalgia site) would be:From Strawberry Shortcake to Strawberry Switchblade! Can you think of a better alternative?

3 Greatest Regrets of the 80s

Did anyone watch Roland Rat's series Ratman, in 1987?I was one of Roland's biggest fans from 1983-85, but by the time I was 13 (in '87), I'd gone off him, and had in fact become rather disdainful; so I lost touch with his programmes. That may have been a grave mistake, because I've recently seen a f...

Gerry Anderson

Gerry once said he thought "it showed" that Terrahawks was done on a low budget. So if they'd had a higher budget, what aspects of the show would be different?
