A touch of reality

Ditto to everything Vanessa said 8)(aside from the bit about her local hospital being bulldozed - I never lived there)

16mm isn't necessarily bad quality; obviously 35mm is better, but Doctor Who's 16mm story Spearhead from Space looks pretty nice on blu-ray.

It was almost certainly made on film, because the differences in pictures between releases show they're taken from different scans. There were comparison screenshots posted on the forum a while back, though I can't find the thread in question.

2014 Dai-X Action Figure

(Vanessa @ Jan. 18 2014,23:37)QUOTEthere's another part of me that says I'm too old for <more> toys! You're never too old for toys 8)On advantage of the relatively small size is that you could make a scale X-Bomber for it to dock with - that would "only" be a couple of feet long (far from small, but...

Oooh... that looks very nice! Not cheap for a figure that size, but still tempting.

3D X-bomber art

I think even the most extremely basic interior structure (untextured planes for floor, ceiling, and/or walls) could make a big difference, if the windows were blurry so the lack of detail wasn't apparent, only the existence of internal spaces. Using blurry transparent material might slow rendering t...

3D X-bomber art

Those are pretty awesome! Could you do a frosted glass type material for the various windows? Being able to see a hint of the interior rather than flat colours would make the renders even better; it wouldn't need to be anything detailed.

An X-Bomber model kit? Maybe.

Maybe? I'd want to see a photo of an actual sample before committing. How small can you make it while still keeping most of the detail and structural integrity? There's international postage costs to consider as well, at least for some of us.

Happy Birthday Star Fleet

Not sure about what's currently screening on TV, but Avatar: The Last Airbender and the sequel The Legend of Korra are great. Season 2 of Korra screens next year.
