Brad's Dai X work in progress

Here's a rough sketch of how the unclenched hand might look inside the arm, base on Brad's last post. The fingers are pointing out, and the thumb is twisted sideways; this allows the inside of the arm to be much more solid. I imagine the center of the external exhaust port to be the top of a long po...

Brad's Dai X work in progress

Are you sure the hands are that big? I've checked out a couple of photos, and they definitely look small enough to fit comfortably inside the forearms. They might not fit through the exaust port, but the entire end of the arm could slide open to let the hand through, then close around the wrist. The...

Brad's Dai X work in progress

Yes, sliding the hands out unclenched sounds like the most plausible option to me. Possibly with some kind of enginey thing embedded in the palm, to explain why the hands don't block the engines. I've done a rough sketch to explain what I mean: There's no need to show them unclenching; just use two ...

Luna!

A very nice person who happened to have copies of the first season contacted me after finding the site, and sent me the CDs. And yes, it is still quite entertaining. A lot of the humour is based on word play (puns, etc), frequently with very rapid-fire dialog. The characters are pretty likeable in g...

TROM Prologue

Hmph. *pokes tongue out*Yes, the story is the important thing, and realism shouldn't be allowed to get in the way of that, but as long as they aren't actively in conflict then I prefer to have both (one of the reasons I prefer Babylon 5 to Star Trek). The "realism" of Star Fleet was one of...

Genesis storyline (spoilers)

Ah, now _that_ would explain why Kirara was so worried about Lamia talking to the Mon-Mons 8)I imagine Kiraraworld as being relatively high-tech (though less so than Earth), with sophisticated culture and so forth. Just because they're biologically incapable of speaking human languages is no reason ...
