Just read this, Vanessa and thought it was very good indeed! I really like how everything ties up nicely into the events of the first episode of Star Fleet the series. Great work!The 1982 prologue is very sweet and reminds me of myself spending my Saturday mornings in 82-83 watching Star Fleet when I should have been out playing football or riding my bike. Ha! I did that in the afternoons anyway, so it was win win! Love the rational explanation why Lamia and Shiro didn't know each other. There were a few discussions on here about that back in the day, as it seemed a bit of a plot hole by the writers. So you've saved their bacon, 30 years later! The history of the Alliance and the birth of the Imperial Master is fascinating and I'd really like to try and keep some continuity with TROM as extraordinarily our ideas aren't that dissimilar here.I like the idea that the ancient Thalian eldars were beings of energy who were attracted to a dark world in the Thalian Zone. I guess the world is Gelmar?I have a lost world of the ancients in TROM which could well have been colonised by a small group of energy beings seeking out this particular world in the vast Thalian zone. This world is home to the Omni-beast who has been trapped in a chamber near the planet's core for eons. this massively long chamber is built below an ancient temple. The temple contains the tombs of the ancient warriors who traped the omnibeast in the core chamber long ago. Warriors with golden faced eyepatches...I also have a character called the Great Skull who has a symbiont skull eyepatch. I might connect this with the energy beings, maybe some were drawn to good, some evil, and all things inbetween.Anyhoo, again, really good work. Serious food for thought.

Project Omega was planned to start after Revenge of Makara or Genesis.I've still got another 12 chapters to go until I'm happy with how it will end.then i need to tie in all those extra characters i created for the 2nd crew and the dragon-bomber and dai-ruken prototype.so much to do.

Hey Shane, thank you very much for the glowing review I'd passed my story around a few people and got back positive but vague opinions as they weren't really Star Fleet people. So a proper review from someone who knows the subject inside out is praise indeed.I'm going to be on cloud nine for the rest of the day!It was TROM, Omega and Genesis that gave me the impetus and inspiration to write my story, so it's all credit to you guys that it existed at all.I'm glad you got all the little twists. I tried to explain away some of the plot holes, which you noticed, like why Orion's ship could catch X-Bomber up at twice hyperspeed. Well, a coward such as Orion would want a fast getaway ship I'd hoped the prologue would remind people of their childhood I also tried to be respectful of all the existing SF fanfics because (maybe uniquely in the fanfic world) they all seemed to tie in with each other. I even planted the seed of the Imperial Master's heir that Andy refers to. It was fun creating it all, and there's more where that came from.I'd be really chuffed if you were to weave some of it into TROM, as I'm hugely in awe of your own story writing Shane. I'd never written a (fictional) word before writing The Rise of the Alliance.I'm not so good at creating cool new space tech (like the advanced forms of Dai-X that you've created) but instead I tried to convey how it might feel like to be possessed and corrupted by a Symbiont and it's evil master.You are correct in that the Thalian's home planet is Gelmar. The Esperians called it the "Gelmar Capacitor" because of it's ability to collect and store evil energy.I can't wait to read more TROM, as your teaser plots sound really cool! I like the good versus evil energy beings idea, and their separate planets.Star Fleet forever!Bring it on!

I'm thinking of working on a seperate story related to a line makara said durring Dai-x's first battle"what is that monster!?!?!?!? where did they?"this will tie in with the origins of Dai-X and your own story, if you'd like to help me out with it and flesh it out a bit let me know.Dai-X is a 3 part mech but it's original base form was the Dai-Ruken found on Pluto int the Ice caverns, originally thought to be the oposite end of the spectrum to that of the imperial master.when evil is formed, somewhere else in the universe so is good.although it turns out that it was indeed created to battle the master for the sake of the galaxy lamia was the failsafe for the battle.Dai-ruken to fight mastermaster creates makaralamia was to fight makara dai- ruken was unable to be powered upsubaru along with the plans he found from calliean with lamia used the form of dai-ruken and along with the tech he had developed for project-X so dai-X killed makara and lamia sacrificed herself to stop the master.Subaru still has Dai-Ruken stored on pluto waiting for the day the gesault will awaken.

Hiya,Yes I've no problems with helping you out with some writing, maybe as a ghost writer or something?I like the idea about good and evil existing in equal measure within the universe. It runs through my entire storyline, and seems to be a part of TROM as well.Who would you have to create the original Dai Ruken?Although I have in my story, the source of the tech that Professor Hagen uses to create the X-project coming from Halley's father, Captain Corliss. (Who is in fact a time-travelling ethereal being and one-time lover of Makara.) I did not say that all the ideas came from this source, so it is entirely feasible that some of the Dai-X tech could have come from Pluto/Dai-Ruken.Can you elaborate on how Dai-X was created from Dai-Ruken, yet the original Dai-Ruken can still be on Pluto? I'm unsure about this point.As we now know, Makara was not exactly completely killed by Dai-X, and rose again to star in TROM, and then "The Eternal Continuum".Geez, I'd LOVE to see someone do Mastermind on Star Fleet and it's Fanfics as a chosen specialist subject At what point do you have Dai-Ruken coming on-line?It's feasible that a returning Professor Hagen could awaken it, but then we'd have to come up with a reason why it didn't feature in Genesis or TROM.Food for though there!Let me know your thoughts, 'cos this is fun! BTW, reading back through some old forum threads, what happened to the things like the Top Trump cards, or the custom figures, or the puppet commission? They all sounded like they had good intentions.

The base idea was to have the seer get his vison mixed up.Dai-X is mearly a copy of Dai-ruken but on a smaller scale.Dai-ruken is the same size as the master. If you've ever seen Evangelion then you'll get the idea of how Dai-ruken would just sudenly awaken.i'm not sure but in TROM did Lamia and Halley return?if Makara was the jewel of the alliance as stated in Vanessa's fan fic then it goes to say that theres at least one place in the cosmos that could effectivly hold a few clones of her. they would just need the makara symbiant connected to her mind.then theres my new crew that run the 2nd battle ship the Dragon-bomber. Based on the shen long dragon of the old legends it can transform from it's x-bomber like configuration into it's dragon mode and also it's free standing mode (dai-x style)

Lamia/F01 makes an appearance in the latest chapter. I don't deal with Halley at all, but I do have a character called the great skull who is ancient.

That's got me thinking there Shane. As soon as I've read a bit more TROM and learned some more about your Great Skull character, I may engineer a meeting, in times long past, between Captain Corliss (Halley's Father, and architect of the Sailing Ship "The Skull", Esper's last great hope) and your Great Skull character. I could use this to weave a plot into my next story (The Eternal Continuum) telling how Captain Corliss came to possess the know-how to create such a ship. Maybe he learned this from the Great Skull...?As Shane has stated that Makara is still "floating around" after the events of "The Return of the Dai Warriors", she could engage the Dai-Ruken in a battle maybe?Otherwise, Zordon, you'd need to come up with a way of resurrecting the Imperial Master to fight the Dai-Ruken. And I've got a feeling that he's pretty much finished after the events of "The Return of the Dai Warriors"?Maybe you could have Makara stumble upon Dai-Ruken as she flees the final battle in Shane's second epic? Maybe she could activate it and imbue it with the ancient powers of evil from her Thalian Eyemask implant? Then you could have your Dragon-Bomber engage in battle with it?Just a thought.As you've given your Dragon Bomber the ability to transform into a Giant Robot, it would be a really cool battle between two huge robo-mecha Assuming the good guys win, the last vestiges of Thalian tech from Makara's implant would be destroyed, thus neatly ending the whole SF saga.It would also handily allow me to write Makara into my final story, with her symbiont's life-force extinguished by the Dai-Ruken. Then the spirit of Corliss would return from the Ethereal plane, to try to convince her of the error of her ways, or face final anihillation.Of course Corliss would not bank on a furious Mary trying to get her old body back... Which is the main plot of "The Eternal Continuum".Anybody still with me here

Yeah, still here.   I can most definitely use your input for the Great Skull as although I know what he's going to do, his back-story has been a little sketchy and mysterious. The Great Skull is an inter-dimensional traveller who passed into the Star Fleet universe at the time when the energy beings were traveling around colonising various objects and planets such as Gelmar.The Great Skull was pure and good, and considered an anomaly as he didn't belong to this dimension. Many pure energy beings were attracted to him and merged with his crystal eye-patch, sword and his 5 skull rings on his left gauntlet. The mental stress of incorporating 7 new personalities as well as his own meant that he could only spend short periods of time conscious over thousands upon thousands of years. He has been awoken on a number of occasions over time when he has been needed.Maybe one of those times could have been to give Captain Cloriss the plans to build the Skull. He could be a god like inspiration or an Epiphany.In TROM I have it that the Thalian Ancients prophesied the F01. The pure energy beings within the Great Skull were also privy to this knowledge, so maybe they/The Great Skull help Cloriss plant the seeds for Halley to eventually help the F01 save the universe.That would work for me. What do you think? He makes his first appearance at the end of the next chapter, but it's only a teaser so the back-story isn't fixed yet.I don't want to spoil the ending of Return of the Dai Warriors, but I'm definitely killing off the Imperial Master. I think just having him resurrected too many times will cheapen him. Although if someone wants to resurrect him after I finish my story, then please feel free. As Vanessa has said, Makara will still be knocking about after my two tales and is in possession of the last of the Thalian Ancients within her eye patch, so there is still the raw material out there to create a ton of new evil!

before Subaru and Annalee met, Subaru went to Pluto to help set up the outpost. It's here that he meets a young Captain Carter.Carter says that they have found some old ruins withing the Planets core (is Pluto a planet?)here they find Dai-ruken encased within the planets ice.it's later into Vanessa's prequil that Subaru finds the esperian plans and creates x-project. using the design of dai-ruken as base for dai-X. Dai-ruken although it's still burried deap in pluto's core would only awaken if the master was at full power. some food for thought, sorry it it's full of spelling mistakes.Time linebefore prequil - dai ruken found on pluto, dormant- underground research facility alongside itprequil - Subaru hagen finds the Esperian Documents, along with the inspiration of Dai-ruken created Dai-X a smaller sytlised version that can split into 3 parts for strorage.SF OAS - Dai-x launched, makara "killed" by Dai-X and not Lamia Master sealed with Lamia and HalleyGenesis - The master, lamia and Halley returnTROM - Makara retrurnsThe Retrun of the Dai FightersProject Omega Dai-X is upgraded , Dragon Bomber and it's crew assist X-bomber - dragon bomber and dai-x combine to become Dai-Dragonthe master survives through mitosis and using the space debrie around him creates a new body.Makara fights Lamia whose F-01 persona is much stronger this is explained that durring the time trapped withing the other realm moretime had actually past, but in the pysical plane it had only been a few years.Dai-ruken finnaly awakens and fights the master. dai-ruken will used a version of the X-sabre to fight the master with his sword.X-bomber will get destroyed along with Barry, PPA and Braincom.Braincom will b replaced durring the last but one episode with the X-Bird which grants a new sleaker head to Dai-X and also gives it a wing pack.
