The final version is a lot more streamlined. If you look at the Meteor Pack from Gundam SEED, you'll see where the whole idea came from.I thought that was such an awesome design, I couldn't get it out of my head - even the colour scheme. I really love that show. It's clearly the best design of its kind in all the Gundam series - much better than the Dendobrium from 0083 and more streamlined than GN-Arms from 00.It's like the difference between a cadillac and a hatchback.I have some drawings of the original Dai-X booster from second-year of Uni in a notebook. That was 2006/7? Took me a good while to get around to programming that. That was 'style 1', which is more similar to the final 'style 3'.I figured the style could be different to the Dai-X if its construction was subcontracted to an off-world colony.

Well my non-existant web searching ability has failed to locate me a picture of the Gundam SEED Meteor Pack you mentoned, but I did watch a bit of the animation from the show. Very impressive and fast-paced anime. Is that where your avatar comes from?I reckon you are right that sub-contracted add-on parts for the Dai-X could have a design feel and appearance originality all of their own.

Well our man Professor Hagan has his work cut out for him creating all the new weapons for the game, so the final huge ones would be his design but built elsewhere.http://www.animepaper.net/art/8758/mete ... r1.jpgIt's a lot more awesome than mine but I guess they have teams of folk who do nothing but design giant robots and everything that goes with them.Google images did pretty badly on that search. You had to know what it looked like to find out what it looked like. It's a brilliant show. Athrun is maybe the best character ever devised in anime or perhaps in anything else. All the other good characters are just hangers-on in comparison.Gundam 00 is seriously bland in comparison. That goes for the characters and the visual designs.

Ahh, now I see it, thanks. That model of the Meteor Pack with the robot as well is just awesome! There are some clever people out there...The robot is quite small compared to the pack, which is all guns really by the looks of it.You are right, the show itself must have a production team producing the artwork and designing new robots and armour etc..., cool job eh?The Gundam robots remind me of Jetfire from G1 TF.
