S'good point - Culture a little under-represented there...! Ah, the Banksian "names reflecting their attitude" methodology of ship naming, you've got to love it... I "met" him once too actually; I say "met", it was just a book signing thing:

I think my favourite was "What Are The Civilian Applications?" Though the Banks "toy" I think I like the most is non-Culture, the awesome Lazy Gun from Against A Dark Background...
