Okay, it depends on where you do your counting from - the original toys were based on a Japanese spin-off from Microman and are a bit older - but today marks the anniversary of the publication of the US Transformers comic [1], the series that largely introduced the idea of giant transforming robots to the West.So, thanks to my first Robot in Disguise - Brawn - and to Jetfire, the one I always wanted and could never afford, and whose complicated history would lead me to some amazing discoveries...[1] Though we all know the British comic had the better stories.
