A very happy new year to you all, hope you didn't over indulge too much over the festive period. And so here it is, the first update for Big Dai X in 2008:Nothing new really despite the slightly misleading title, (Andy has had his own scans of this article up for a while now.) but I've put my own versions of the X Bomber article that appeared in the June 1981 issue of Fantastic Films up on my site just to complete my X Bomber section. The magazine scans can be found here:http://www.bigdaix.co.uk/xbgalleries2.htmI've actually owned this Magazine for a number of years, but never got round to putting it up on the old site. Anyways, better late than never. Next updates should include getting the merchandise section back up, and the scanning in of the French comics.

Cheers. I've still got quite a lot of images of my old collection before I sold it off a few years ago. Alas, I have lost a few of them along the way, but I still have the main ones and a lot of knowledge as an ex-collector of what was available merchandise wise for X Bomber anyway, so it should be a decent and hopefully informative section of the site when it's completed.

Wow - nice stuff! Was amused to see that the article states that the show had been sold to the BBC, because I always remember having seen it on the ITV "TSW" network.I seem to recall Fred Patten was one of the early commentators on Japanese anime and manga. Also interesting to read about the technology used in the puppets. So thats why we never see their legs! And the smoother, more stylised concept Big Dai-X art - very Mazinger!
