Does anyone else ever dream about any of the programmes discussed here? About 2 weeks ago, I dreamed that I got to kiss Yung-Star (I'm not lying), and I know the Thawks do appear in my dreams on other occasions, but usually the details aren't so tangible, I forget them upon awaking. When I first got the videos, I dreamed about them every night.Way back in 1984/85, I dreamed that Kate Kestrel was on Top of the Pops, singing a cover version of Kirsty MacColl's New England! Don't ask me what triggered that one!

I'm straining to remember if I ever dreamed about Starfleet; I suppose I must have, some time, but it eludes me. There was one dream about Nyoka & the Tigermen (an ancient black-and-white drama, originally made in the 40s, but shown on TV in the early 80s), in which the villainess Vultura held me captive, then the good guys appeared and everything was OK.I have tried to explain to myself why I like Yung-Star, but I guess it's one of those inexplicable things. It's probably partly because he has such a hard time, I want to take him home and cuddle him. Coincidentally, my previous crush (Nelson Muntz) also has protruding teeth. Call me nosey if you want, but who do you like in that way?

Nah, it adds to the fun of watching something if you're in love with one of the characters. Are you going to divulge the details of your own taste, Crash? At risk of being lynched, I nominate A Christmas Miracle as the best episode, because the dancing between the goodies and baddies is soooo sweet, as are the zeroids wearing party hats. If it had been the very last episode, the story could have been "real", rather than a dream, then there could have been everlasting peace in the universe afterwards.

I have never had dreams about the show but time has played tricks on me as some bits of it where different to what I remembered them being like which lead to a surprise when I discovered a Terrahawks website a few years ago. For some reason I always thought Yung Star (who used to scar me as a child) was in charge and was married to Zelda plus I can just about remember Boygirl turning up and taking over. Everything else I remembered correctly I just got a bit mixed up with the bad guys for some reason. Its still Gerrys best show along with Captain Scarlet.

"it adds to the fun of watching something if you're in love with one of the characters"-Can't argue with that.Personally I'd want to take him home shoot him, but there you go...As for my taste? - uho, no. I'd probably have the men in white coats arrive at my door about 5 minutes later.I would comment however that there hasn't been nearly enough seen of that girl with the bright pink hair in Beyblade lately.

"Personally I'd want to take him home shoot him, but there you go." I can only assume you have 100% loyalty to the good guys? If you like girls with bright pink hair, perhaps you have a soft spot for Kate Kestrel? (One of the few ladies I have ever seen with that hair colour.) Actually, although I have never tried an outrageous look, I think if I DID, then I would opt for pink hair. The chance has probably passed me by forever, as I'm now in the world of work, rather than Uni. What is Beyblade?Digressing slightly, one of the most fantastic dreams I have ever had was when I was about 5, about 2 children getting lost in a forest, and reaching a house which turned out to be haunted. (I was the little girl, but I'm not sure if it was actually myself, or a fictional character.) Anyway, the kiddies got persecuted and chased by a horrid skeleton, but they made friends with a talking brown rat who helped them escape. Boy, I wish I could have another dream like that!

Returning to the Yung-Star theme: I'm sure I'm the only viewer who has ever fancied him; and if he wasn't in it, Thawks would still be the best prog ever, on account of the zeroids. But leaving hormonal things aside, I'm genuinely surprised more people didn't latch onto Yung-Star as a figure of empathy, when seething about all the unavenged wrongs or humiliations in their own lives. Having a character who can provide comfort through "shared experience" can be very therapeutic, and the plight of Yung-Star is much more realistic than, say, that of a heroine like Lamia. Whilst her perils are intensely gripping, it's still fantasy: it's very rare to be in the danger that befalls her, and she is never made to lose her dignity, as even her enemies compliment her!But maybe most of the Terrahawks viewers identify totally with the good guys, and equate Yung-Star with the real-life baddies they have encountered?
