It shouldn't be much of a surprise from the picture that Mission 11 contains an underwater section and although I've sprited some really cool submarines, it's difficult to make an awesome submarine. In order to improve the situation I created a giant, underwater, transforming robot. Gelma Imperial Heavy Industries - Prototype Underwater Assault MechArmament:1x Phonon maser cannon,4x High-velocity gauss cannons,6x Constant delivery torpedo launchers,6x Underwater dipole lasers4x 40mm Micro-projectile launchers6x Melee vibrabladesTransforms into underwater mobile armour.Update: [Above Right]Just to show the robot in submarine mode and without armour pack:

Absolutely, it does! It has some amazing weapons too. It's an enemy vehicle so it's not playable. It's very fun to kick its ass with X-Bomber's alien 'underwater apdator thing' with underwater weapons.

It has big blue bug Boobies!!try saying that ten times fast!!I need to send you the designs for those upgrade mecha for the EDF mecha unit.I'd so like to add some of that "what if EDF mass produced Dai-X class robo frames"So if you want we can disscuss stuff on MSN this week.Dragonbomber would be a nice addition to the game, that and the Dai Ruiken from that lost Project Omega fanfiction Mike was working on.

I know - well, when it came to designing an underwater opponent for Dai-X there were a few things that kept springing to mind: firstly the underwater Gundams from Gundam SEED (& Destiny) and also things like Marina from Stingray and Andraia from Reboot (a long time since I saw either of those but still they were people with an underwater look) so I figured making an underwater babe robot wouldn't be such a bad idea.Because the transforming and weapons are so slick I didn't think anyone would mind. The only thing is that because the wings wrap around the machine - they're so big that the robot would probably have to ditch its backpack to walk around on land. Not sure it matters since it was always gonna be a specialised design.I have a design for a kind of mech-warrior that I supposed the EDF would use widely after the success of Dai-X. I haven't sprited it yet but it's basically a cross-between an APU from the Matrix and a mechwarrior with guns in place of hands and a large, glass 2-person cockpit at the top of the torso instead of a head. it also has two small rocket launchers on the shoulders. If you've got any sprites or drawings I could use I'd be glad to throw them in.The engine's full to the gunnels at the moment so I might have to think about how to wedge things in... but we are getting excitingly close to the end of the game (sort of).

I hope so!I finally got the balancing for this level sorted last night. The above-ice part was really tricky to get balanced properly.I was working on the new weapons upgrades (each add-on weapon "evolves" as the game progresses in order to give a sense of escalation through the levels) and Multimedia Fusion just lost 6 hours of work. Managed to get back to where I was though. I am shattered I am going to bed. This level is gonna be really impressive - it's quite pretty really - should really keep players on their toes.
