I recently was able to pick up the X-Bomber DVD set; unfortunately my view-through has been disrupted by a TV fault - the TV being connected to the only DVD player that can play Region 2 discs... ...anyway, I can't remember the secondary charcaters being referred to by names, but I'll try and pay closer attention next time I watch. One thing that did amuse me is the original character names; Captain Carter becomes Captain Custer, and everyones favourite Galaxy-threatening cyborg femme fatale is actually referred to as "Bloody Mary"! Strangely, though, I still haven't managed to get the name of her chief hench-borg...

I can't speak to the Japanese version, but I don't think General Kyle ever refers to his commanders as anything but "Number One", rather like Picard sometimes does with Riker in the Next Gen. So in the characters section of SFXB I've just called them Number One and Number Two.Also, based on something Makara and Orion say, I've collectively called the Imperial Master's lieutenants the Executive Council, but that's just guesswork really. If I remember Shane's scans of the Japanese DVD, that has a character section in the accompanying booklet, but I don't know if it goes into any detail about the ancillary characters.

Yeah, I remember finding a Japanese web page ages ago with the original names of the characters and trying to figure out what they translated to...I did laugh at Bloody Mary, Bigman Lee and Bongo Herakles (sounds like a name you'd get doing that pornstar name game, by taking the name of your first pet and your mother's maiden name...!). (^_^)[Happosai]AKA Flopsy Gee... (>_<)

The Japanese DVD booklet features the executive council members as part of the bad guys section. Theres a little box of text by their pictures, so anyone who understands the Japanese language could unearth some secrets about the mysterious pair. The good guys section features all the usual suspects but also includes Number 1, The King and Princess Keeli.I told ya Keeli was important.
