I think the Dai-X one is non-negotiable.
It's a shame there was never an enemy robot to fight in the show like the makers intended.

I think you essentially get that with the Death Ball, even if it's not technically a Robot.

That's all they managed in the 25 episodes before the studio burned down.
The bloke; Nagai said in his interview on the UK DVDs that he wanted a real enemy robot to tangle with the Dai-X in a second series.

Somehow I imagine it to look like a scaled-up version of this friendly chap:

Wow. Space Truckers. That was around the Fifth Element era wasn't it? I'll have to remind myself of it, I remember that chap having a lot of friends...

It was around that sort of time.
It's quite a hard-hitting film but not as ambitious as Fifth Element. It doesn't have Bruce Willis and Chris Tucker for starters and it doesn't have the same edge to it.
Quite a lot of cool hardware though and Shane Rimmer of Thunderbirds fame.

I think the design of the robot fits the bill for Alliance hardware.

Might be that we're getting this soon,

Toysrevil was hoping for an August release:

It looks to me as though you can order the thing direct thru the manufacturer:

Entertainment Earth expect to be shipping this in November in the US:

PS, I also found this, which is brilliant:

Took me a while but, after an expensive 2016, I ordered the Dai-X:

The cost was $100 + £20 shipping to the UK, equating to £100, converted by PayPal.
So we'll see what it's like when it arrives. :)

Ouch. I didn't realise they were doing quite such limited runs (presumably that's why they're so expensive). The production quality does look good, I might see if I can get one, I think there was the offer for helping them with reference material... Dai X is going to stand tall, I thought they'd be quite small things! Happy New Year one and all by the way, it was rather downbeat for us this year so apologies for not posting nearer the time.

It's only expensive if it's real money though.
PayPal money doesn't count; especially if it's in dollars... which are also not real money.

I'll let you know if and when it dispatches.

I might sit it on my desk at work - this office is drab.
I have a colleague who has all the little portal turret guns in all sorts of colour schemes and patterns on her desk. It looks like a branch of Forbidden Planet.

The Unbox Industries online shop seems to be an offline shop just at the moment.
Speaking of website problems, Krystal upgraded our hosting to their top consumer plan so we have reasonably unlimited everything.
That sets me up for more screenshots, more videos, more previous versions and more source code backups.

Edit:
And the Dai-X is here - it's big and red and friendly-looking. For me: worth the money, and it arrived very fast.

Still haven't found the time to photo my friendly, red Dai-X buddy.

In the meantime, I scanned the card:
