Hello there,Just to clarify, I'm out at about at lunch (Wed 12th) and will have a run around to see if I can find a store with a PS2 set up. If they have, I'll test a VCD to see.I'll let you all know later today.Regards,SIMON COVERDALE

Hello All,Due to an erm, unco-operative assistant at our local Lewis's store, I am unable to verify compatibility with the PS2.Given that the thing can swing DVD's, coupled with origins in Asia and it being of relatively new technology, my guess is it will play VCD's.I'll keep a VCD in the car this week, and no doubt will have access to a PS2 in the near future. If anyone has a PS2 already and would like to assist by either confirming/denying VCD compatibility or would care to view vol. 1 free of charge, this would help.Regards,SIMON COVERDALE

Hello All,One last thing. Re. VCD's. As I have been doing for a number of weeks now, all previous customers for my original CDR's enjoy a significant discount on the new VCD's & DivX's.As per my note on the 'old' forum, anyone purchasing either the VCD or the DivX set from me after finding me or my site www.StarFleetDirect.com via this forum will enjoy the same benefits.Having discussed this with Andy, I will not put revised prices here, but will include a note regarding the discount via personal email. PLEASE mention when purchasing that your are a "Forum" customer, or indeed a previous customer!Regards,SIMON COVERDALE

Hello Jord,I have mailed a copy of volume 1 out to someone (who's name escapes me at the moment) to test, so should have the results shortly.Although slightly biased, I would say that you should not be able to get a better quality version than the DivX/VCD items. They were taken from new tapes (except vol. 3, which is in excellent condition noneless) using a professional VCR, captured through a Dazzle DVCII, which is an excellent capture device).I can send you a free vol. 1 to test if you wish? If so, please email me simon.coverdale@simoncoverdale.comI'll do my best to get them out for Xmas.Regards,SIMON COVERDALE

I've just tried my Star Wars VCD on the PS2 and it doesn't work it just asks for a Playstation or Playstation 2 format disc.I don't have the remote which is supposed to upgrade certain DVD Player features but I don't think that will help, the unofficial AR2 V2 might do it, it unlocks the regions and the greenscreen effect, try www.ar2v2.com and see what they say.Nigel
