Japanese card game

Post by Bladez636 »

http://www.ebay.com/itm/X-BOMBER-the-St ... 1314906994?

Been a while since I've posted, hasn't it? I found this on e-Bay, quite a bit more than I'm willing to pay, but I thought I'd put it out here for someone else on the forums.
Amazing the kind of items made for the show that are so rare to find.

Hi Bladez, long time no hear, hope all is well with you.

That's a nice find, I have no idea how to play the game though, and it's a pity about the damage to the cards.
It might have been more interesting with X-Bomber character pictures on the cards, or more than 6 different images, but maybe that is needed for the game?

Sure would make a nice collection item, thanks for posting it.

When I went on eBay to check that out, I saw some Dai-X t-shirts on there.
One design that I think would be really cool but have never seen would be a dark-red t-shirt with the white flashes and markings on it that Dai-X has on its chest.

I think that'd look really good. It'd be a really subtle but cool 'message'.

That's a cool idea Crash. You should totally design it and get one made!

It was this that gave the idea.

I thought they'd rather missed a trick with that one.

Wow, thats an interesting find. I'd love to know how the game was played - I know a popular card-based tie-in in Japan is language learning cards for young children, but this doesn't appear to be one of those.

Edit: ah, theres a clue in the listing header, these are apparently "menko" cards:
