Some very sad news

Post by Jiraiya »

I’ve been Facebook friends with Jay Benedict for many years and followed his work after Star Fleet.

I’ve done very sad news to announce. Jay sadly passed away today. He had succumbed to this dreadful virus. His wife Phoebe posted on Facebook earlier today.

I’m totally gutted.

RIP Jay

This is such awful news.
What a talent, he had an easily identifiable, soft but authoritative, unique voice and was perfect as Shiro in every way.

R.I.P. Jay. You will never be forgotten.

Heartbreaking news.

My thoughts are with his family and friends.

Thank you Jay for being a massive part of something that has given me immense joy, not only in my childhood but ever since. I still watch SF every year, this year’s viewing will be incredibly bittersweet. :(

RIP

Damn, that's a shame. My condolences to his family. Let's hope they get a lid on this thing before long, it seems to be behaving very unusually compared to things we've come across before but I suppose it's early days researching it yet...
