So, if you missed the adverts... and Christopher Eccleston on Jonathan Ross this evening... and on the radio yesterday... and the front cover of the Radio Times... and that first episode leak on the internet... and the various press coverage......welcome to planet Earth.

Well, Daleks are back - and they've been upgraded. Not entirely sure about Daleks needing hugs (its not so much the concept as the fact its just a little over-used, not least of all with the Borg), but overall, I enjoyed that episode. Just try sticking a bag over a Daleks head and pushing it out of a window now! And, of course, we may well not have seen the last of the homocidal pepper-pots just yet... And next week - Simon Pegg!

Darn, missed it again. Oh well I hope there'll still be some Daleks remaining for next week's episode.

well, I've quite enjoyed the Dr Who series - sort of. Christopher ecleston really works and brings a new edge to the Dr, Billie piper is ok as his companion and also brings a not so useless character to the story.the effects are quite nice and give a little more room for plots to unfold.I'm not a big fan of the 1 episode per story idea, although it does make it short and snappy. I think a middle ground between 1 episode per plot, and the old 5 episodes per plot would be good. Also, I'm really dissapointed that they have sealed the fate of the timelords and daleks already. This for me removes the best vilains, the daleks, the master and the rani. It also removes a great place for a plot in galiphraiAll in all pretty above average, but with some in my opinion fatal bad calls for the future.
