Cool!I'd never seen this stuff before. It was on Shane's site before it went down I think, but I never saw it. I'm still looking for the Japanese DVD. It never seems to be sold.

Yes I've tripped across a few that probably came from SFXB originally - at some point I'll have a look at uploading them direct because I imagine a lot of people look for video content on YouTube these days. It's an impressive site although it's got a lot of companies tearing their hair out about copyright for obvious reasons...!

I read the page on sfxb about Oriental cinema and the discussion about the connection between Star Fleet and Message From Space then I did some searching and found this page about Message From Space and also this funky youtube clip of "Message From Space" ! What do you make of that clip? I thought I had drunk the wrong pint of beer for a moment! I don't mean its like Star Fleet but it looked very weird and interesting at the sametime and that funky music!

I've now seen the Brian May version of the Starfleet song, for the second time in my life; the first time was on The Saturday Show, all those years ago.
