Does anyone know when the DVD/Video of Volume 4 is coming out and what is going to be on it (front cover, extras etc)If I’m right and follow the production order then the episodes will beTo Catch A Tiger (Third appearance of MOID)The Midas Touch (First and only appearance of Krell, Tony Barwick uses his proper name in the writing credits and not one of his stupid prank names)Operation SAS (Second appearance of Yuri)Ten Top Pop (Pretty much Operation SAS Part 2 in my opinion but Stew Dapples plays a good part in this episode...My God...I can't believe I just said that!)

I wonder what is taking them so long to prepare Volume 4, etc? Perhaps they're having to think of what to include as "extras" on the DVDs?

Possibly. There certainly doesn't seem to be any sign of it on e-commerce sites. They may well be evaluating sales on the first sets before deciding whether it'd be commercially viable to release any more. I know, Rachel, not what you want to hear! It would certainly make sense for them to try and do something for the Christmas market. Unfortunately their site still seems to be non-existent...

I ought to check out their website (they give the URL on the DVD box), and contact them, if possible, asking them when Vol 4 etc are coming out. They really should release copies of the 3rd series, at least, as they would surely be purchased by the fans who have the other series from Ebay. I need to make Revelation aware of that fact. Wish me luck!

>>they would surely be purchased by the fans who have the other series from Ebay.<< Remember, the early releases from ebay are compilation videos. You really have to see the whole series unedited first, because who actually likes the compilation videos, because to be honest, I don't like them.>>They really should release copies of the 3rd series<<You're forgetting the 2 episodes from series 2 (A Christmas Miracle and Ma's Monsters, you have to see Ma's Monsters before you can see Two for the Price of One and the rest of the 3rd series episodes)

You're right Tej, I have tried it, without any success. To be as polite as possible, without turning anyone's stomach: #### and blast!!! I really felt Revelation should be made aware of the fact that most Thawks fans don't have the access to the 3rd series, on Ebay, so there would therefore be a greater market for these episodes. It looks as if everyone at Revelation has suddenly gone totally lazy, as their website isn't even working; sheesh!I wonder if I should buy DVD versions of Vols 1 and 2, afer all? I didn't really want to do that, for the reasons I stipulated earlier, but then my video copies ARE quite old, and will probably deteriorate sooner or later, as we all do! If I get new copies now, it may save searching for replacements in 5-10 years' time, or whenever. It may be one of those cases where just one more sale (which could be mine) would make the difference between them deciding to release more episodes, or not.As someone (I think it was Adam) once pointed out, if Rev have signed a contract to release all 39, it would be naughty of them to double-cross us; my mum ingrained in me what a precious thing your signature is! And since they're not even digitally remastering the series, they don't have that extra cost to cover. Just out of interest, what's the point in gaining the rights to a programme, if you don't provide at least one release of the whole lot on video/DVD?Adam, why don't you like the compilation videos? Apart from the infinitely duller background at the end (sans the noughts and crosses), and the fact that all 4 episodes run into each other, what's the difference?

>>As someone (I think it was Adam) once pointed out, if Rev have signed a contract to release all 39<<Yeh that was meI hate the compilation videos because they are one long episode and not four separate episodes but what makes them worse compare to the other (Supermarionation and Live Action) compilation videos is that all the Terrahawks videos were compilations unlike the others which would have a couple of compilation and then the rest of the videos were unedited, Thunderbirds has 3 compilations, Captain Scarlet and Stingray had 2Joe 90 had 1UFO had 1 andSpace 1999 had 4>>what's the difference?<<There's a big difference.

Rachel, I'll drop a line to Revelation's press people to see if they know anything. Some contracts could require a specific set of releases as part of the agreement, others may not do. It probably will come down to profitability at the end of the day. Revelation may take the view that other shows are doing better for them for the same cost etc... Oh, and I'm chuckling at your asking Adam about his view of the compilation tapes. I think you'll find he's a bit of a purist and wants the episodes as broadcast in much the same way as the Star Fleet fans find the US compilation tapes lacking despite their relative completeness. I don't know, it's probably a bloke thing ;)

You're a honey, Andy. I have bought the DVDs of Vols 1 and 2 today, so I have done my bit to boost their sales, can't do any more; if the others are cancelled, I can complain about it with a clean conscience. If the Rev website ever gets up and running again, I will contact them myself, say how much I am looking forward to further releases, especially as some aren't available on Ebay. (The fact that the site has conked seems to indicate that the staff are being lackadaisical all round at the mo, and could do with a good kick up the backside!)I don't consider myself a grasping person on the whole, and I don't even yearn to get Terrahawks calendars, or all the other sort of merchandise you can get based on boring, bloody Thunderbirds (apologies to any fans of the show, I'm an 80s chick, not a 60s chick!), I just really don't think it's too much to ask, to expect to have all the episodes I want widely available! What is wrong with the world?
