Has Anyone met Gerry?

Can anyone report having met Mr Anderson himself, in the flesh? If so, what did you say? I'm trying to imagine how he would react if I told him I wanted to marry one of his characters? I actually missed a chance to see him live, 2 or 3 years ago (before I got the Thawks videos, although I had Starfleet). There was a notice in my local library, saying he was giving a talk somewhere about what made his puppets move. The tickets sold out very quickly, though.

I've met Gerry in the flesh three times -once at the Virgin Megastore for their Thunderbirds DVD launch in 2000, two weeks later at Harrods and then this year I met him in June at the Barbican event.Gerry was also kind enough to grant me an interview and we chatted for about 40 minutes on the phone last September. He was very nice to talk to and gave quite a good interview...So you can imagine how painful it was to play the audio recording back at the end and find out that it was almost completely inaudible. After many hours I finally managed to decode the hiss and got quite a nice interview in the end for the site.
