Re: Japanese Version 16mm Reels
I have some laserdiscs of the show that I managed to appropriate from Shane Perry some time ago. They are very prized and I don't know if they've ever been played even by their previous owner. Is there any way to connect a laserdisc player (assuming that I obtain one of those, from eBay, perhaps) t...

Re: Japanese Version 16mm Reels
The French DVDs of Star Fleet are produced from a 35mm master, unlike the UK DVDs, which are taken from 16mm. Also, the French version has undergone a fantastic remaster and the colour and contrast are great, far better than the Japanese DVDs even. I used to be under the impression that the French ...

Re: Discotek Media releasing Star Fleet in US
Oh well, not quite what we hoped but that menu looks great to me. Thanks for uploading the screenshots, Actually, I like how they seem to gain inspiration from X-Bomber the Game's interfaces for the covers and menus of various discs and so on that are produced now; the whole yellow on dark blue thi...

Re: Discotek Media releasing Star Fleet in US
I just got Discotek's release today. And it's really as I expected; the quality is about the same as the UK DVD. There are a couple differences though; -The intro and end credits are grittier looking. I think the UK DVD may have actually touched the intro and end up. It was always clear to me though...

Re: Terrahawks Blu Rays
The blu-rays aren't the greatest of quality, but they're definitely much better than the DVDs, even the upscales of Episodes 3-4. I just wish that the deleted scenes from Episodes 1-2 were still intact. I got the first volume late last year, and thank God for Network being kind enough to make their ...

Re: Discotek Media releasing Star Fleet in US
I got an e-mail from Right Stuf, and it's on its way. Hopefully it'll get here right on time.

Re: Discotek Media releasing Star Fleet in US
Would it actually have killed them to give us some screenshots, given that it's to be released in only 3 weeks time? $49 seems like quite a bit, but again ... it's not real money. :) I pre-ordered it from RightStuf Anime in November for $32. Lord knows if that order is still in, because RightStuf l...

Re: Discotek Media releasing Star Fleet in US
Apparently it's been delayed till February now, according to their Facebook.
Perhaps not all that surprising, I half-expected it. This is pretty much what happened to the UK release back in 09' too.

Re: Discotek Media releasing Star Fleet in US
I don't know why they would release new DVDs after the roughly 2010 release of the US DVDs, unless they had something new to show us in the form of improved audio or video quality. We'll have to wait and see the screenshots. What 2010 DVD's? We never got a release of "Star Fleet" here. Yo...
