Damn, would love to show to that but am sadly skinted at the moment.Just the train travel cost an absolute fortune last time and the journey home to Newcastle was an utter nightmare although there was some other event on that weekend, I think. If someone from the forum goes, tell us about it!

Just come back from the show. Rather than sitting together, they had been placed basically back-to-back, with a dividing wall between them. Only Liza had anything SF on her table which included glossy photocopies of the 84 annual cover. Having got her to sign one, I went and got Garrick to sign it too (got a free Biggs postcard, also signed, thrown in). I did question him on whether he voiced Capt Halley and he said he didn't know, that he did various other characters but couldn't say which.

Hey, you did very well. I figure it might have been him as Captain Halley. You can find some amazing things for sale at those collector's fairs. Usually it's very centred around Star Wars and popular anime like Naruto though. Star Trek and Gerry Anderson get quite a look-in too but it's hard to find anyone there who knows much about Star Fleet.

Yeah, I was there all day and both had hardly anyone seeing them. Garrick was seated by Paul "Greedo" Blake and both had few seeing them. Liza Ross was in the same boat. To think that SF was hugely popular in the UK, I can't understand how it has become forgotten. I think another television airing is required to remind people of how good 80's shows were.

Well nearly 30 years is a long time, I suppose. If it didn't catch the 90s sci-fi series wave people don't always remember. For instance, I was absolutely jazzed to see Captain Sheridan from BSG (or at least the actor) appearing in the Tron film trailer.Maybe the fact that it was a family show kills it and no merchandise was really churned out in the UK.For example, if I wanted a model kit of practically anything from Thunderbird 2 to an Earth Force Destroyer, I could probably lay my hands on it.Good products keep a show alive to an extent and aside from the media of the show and its soundtrack there are very few.

Greetings esteemed members of the Star Fleet Forum from the newest member.I too went along to the Memorabilia show after reading on this forum that Liza and Garrick would be there. As luck would have it, I happened to be at the NEC over the same weekend, helping out a friend on his stand at a different show altogether, but I managed to sneak out and get to the Memorabilia show just long enough to get both Liza and Garricks autographs. There was a small queue to see Garrick, but Liza seemed to be all alone. I got them both to autograph my script that I've written about Star Fleet. It's a prequel entitled "The Rise of the Alliance".Garrick assumed I wanted a Biggs autograph, I had to ask him to put Captain Carter on it instead! It was a shame that there was so little at the show about Star Fleet, I only spotted the photos on Liza's stand.Still, I'm pleased I did meet them. It makes me glad I joined the Forum, and that Star Fleet lives on, on the internet!

Oh welcome to it! It certainly does live on. I have a few projects that I want to do when I finish my game next year. Basically, I want to write a whole, new rationalised site, probably based on the Imagevue 2 Gallery system that I have on my site already.I want a huge gallery that showcases the game I'm writing alongside all the Star Fleet material that we've accumulated over the years - all in one interface. When I met Dave at the NEC last year, he said there was one guy who had a regular stand that had the inside track on getting various star fleet bits and pieces. If I spot Dave on MSN, I'll try and find out a bit more. Dave did tell me all about it at the time but I spent most of the time gawking at the Gundam kits. I shoulda just bought Seravee then but I was hoping they'd release it as a Master Grade.
