Nice video Andy. Amazing that the X-Bomber model is in as good a condition as it is given the age! Just goes to show that TLC is a must for those kind of collectibles.

Re: 80s game music
Any gamers from the '80s (any system) remember when games had music like Can Can on as in game music? I was gaming in the 80s but can't really remember it from that era tbh. I do remember it from the 90s though. We had a SNES and I can remember it being used in Lemmings, and maybe Pac-Attack ...

Re: Screen Accurate Large Scale PPA
I tried SF and the GA shows with our kids a few years ago. SF was the only one they watched through to the end but it still wasn't the same as when we'd have seen it as kids ourselves. I remember being gripped by it, but it wasn't really the same for them. I remember the serialization was quite ...

Re: Screen Accurate Large Scale PPA
Late to the party but amazing work so far! I remain (more than) pleasantly surprised that the show still inspires such devotion and dedication over four decades down the line. For a show who's life was so brief it's quite remarkable really. From the Japanese production through to the English ...

Re: RIP Al Matthews
I've found that there's no predicting what kids will or won't like. It was like throwing paint at the wall and just hoping that something stuck. Transformers, Thundercats, He-man, Jayce & The Wheeled Warriors, Dungeons & Dragons.....I tried all of those and nope, no interest. I was more than a ...

Re: RIP Al Matthews
Their legacy is assured for a while yet I'd wager. Having the impact that they did on a generation of kids, at a time in their lives when they were at their most impressionable, I think will end up leaving quite a level of nostalgia and member berries for a hell of a lot of people. Take Mark Ralston ...

Re: Babylon 5 on Blu Ray
The blu-rays are undoubtedly the best the show's ever looked. There's obvious room for improvement, most prominent being the VFX/composite shots which are upscaled 480i. Still looks better than the DVDs though thanks to the lack of crop/stretch and the decision to revert back to 4:3 instead of 16:9 ...

Re: Video from the Expo
That's interesting info about the software available for use on this. When you have imperfections in the individual frames, it matters a lot less when 24 go by every second. Discotek had some interesting ideas with their blu-ray release, but putting on the whole series in Japanese, with subtitles ...

Re: Video from the Expo
Well, this is the thing. I think they had some big prints of that at the Expo, as well as the original. The Earth HQ and many others are brilliant as well but the moonbase one is especially magical. Photoshop now has a kind of pseudo-AI enlargement option for resizing an image overall, called ...
