Re: Perhaps a Mac port
That's another idea - to make it an original gameboy layout. I think the original idea is the best because you want to have the top edge of the game's window along the longest edge of the display, to make the viewport as big as it can be. I've seen some of the newer android devices with some very ...

Re: Perhaps a Mac port
That's very true. I've used android machines with all kinds of peripherals. That's a good point. When people were asking for an android port in the past, they seemed to just want to distil it down to run on their phone with just the touchscreen. I've played Tyrian on an android many moons ago. I ...

Re: Perhaps a Mac port
Thanks for that question! Back-in-the-day, the game worked on Wine, but the runtime has changed many times since then and the project uses a lot of extensions that it didn't back then. At the moment, it's a bit difficult to find a lot of time to work on the game. I was planning on getting back to ...

Re: Educating Microsoft Co-Pilot
And another beautiful log for the fire... Here, chatgpt has incorporated 'info' from the SCP Foundation collaborative fiction into its perception of reality and served it back up to this fruitcake executive, which looks to have fueled some kind of psychosis: https://futurism.com/openai-investor ...

Migration completed
The migration is done and we are now running on the new server.
It seems pretty brisk.
At least now, we don't feel guilty about using the space, and we have a little avenue for future expansion.

Re: More Nonsense from Krystal Hosting
I think we have this all resolved now ... The site is getting moved onto another: even faster, server on Wed 9th, so we may get a bit of disruption on that day. If the site is unavailable at that time, we haven't gone. ;) I will put a notice on the front page of the site nearer the time. I was ...

More Nonsense from Krystal Hosting
I got an email today from a support ticket that the hosting company created (not me) demanding that I reduce the footprint of xbomber.co.uk or upgrade to a business plan, which is going to be quite expensive. This follows on from the drama from a couple of years ago when Krystal migrated all their ...

Re: Educating Microsoft Co-Pilot
On the one hand, I asked google the other week about Mark Rolston's involvement in Star Fleet and it swore blind to me that he'd had no part in it whatsoever. What really got me though was the condescending tone it took while being 100% wrong about what it was saying. But I guess the point is ...

Re: Educating Microsoft Co-Pilot
https://yro.slashdot.org/story/25/06/17/209203/openai-weighs-nuclear-option-of-antitrust-complaint-against-microsoft I don't follow these things closely, so I don't know how much Open AI is behind CoPilot, but here's an interesting article that I found on Windows Central. The comments seemed to ...

Re: Educating Microsoft Co-Pilot
Well, it's true, what it says. :D I think SFXB has been a lighthouse for a lot of people (like in my case) who half-remembered the show from childhood. I found Co-pilot, although it was technically quite impressive, remarkably restrictive around image creation... I tried to make it create some ...
